Dr Raffaella Antonacci graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of Milan in 2009. She subsequently obtained a Master’s degree in Biology Applied to Biomedical Research from the same university in 2011.
In 2011, she obtained her professional qualification as a Biologist from the University of Milan. In 2015, she was awarded the Clinical Embryologist certification by ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology). She also obtained the qualification of Medical Clinical Research Coordinator from the Université Catholique de Louvain and professional recognition as a Medical Laboratory Technologist from the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.
Dr Raffaella Antonacci has over ten years of experience in the field of clinical embryology and reproductive medicine, gained at leading Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) centres in Italy, Belgium and Switzerland.
She currently works with Next Fertility ProCrea, where she brings her expertise in laboratory techniques for Assisted Reproductive Technology, contributing to the work of the clinic’s multidisciplinary team.
Since 2022, she has also held the position of Senior Clinical Embryologist at Humanitas Research Hospital in Milan, where she is involved in assisted reproduction techniques and the development of donation programmes.
Previously, she served as IVF Laboratory Director and Senior Clinical Embryologist at Casa di Cura Le Betulle, where she was responsible for the overall management of laboratory activities and preimplantation genetic testing procedures.
She also worked at Hôpital Erasme – Université Libre de Bruxelles as a Senior Clinical Embryologist and Quality Manager, contributing to the development of quality management processes, the definition of standard operating procedures, and the management of cryopreservation and preimplantation genetic testing activities.
Throughout her career, she has worked with several internationally recognised centres, including Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc in Brussels, Eugin in Vicenza, Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) in Lausanne and Humanitas Research Hospital in Milan.
