Initial Consultation in Reproductive Medicine

FREE OF CHARGE

  • Initial informational consultation with a gynecologist specialized in reproductive medicine, held in person at our clinic (approximately 2 hours) or online (approximately 1 hour).
  • Starting from September 29, 2025, the initial consultation will also include a free counseling session: a dedicated space for listening and support throughout every stage of the fertility journey.
  • Which patients can we treat? Treatments are subject to medical evaluation of the female partner’s ovarian reserve. Heterologous techniques are available up to the age of 50 for the female partner. Medically assisted reproduction (MAR) is also available for married female couples with a valid marriage certificate. Civil unions, even if registered abroad, cannot be accepted. We are unable to treat single patients.

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)

The least complex assisted reproduction treatment. It is the technique closest to natural conception. It can be performed using the partner’s or a donor’s semen.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF/ICSI)

A procedure in which eggs are fertilized with sperm in the laboratory, with the aim of creating an embryo.
Embryos are cultured for a few days and then transferred into the woman’s uterus so they can continue their natural development.

Egg Donation in Italy

This technique is used when the chances of achieving pregnancy using one’s own eggs are very low or absent. It involves in vitro fertilization in which the eggs come from a donor.

Treatments for Female Couples

Married female couples can officially access assisted reproduction treatments in Switzerland, in particular: intrauterine insemination with donor semen (IAD) or IVF with donor semen.

Clinical Andrology: Male Infertility – TESE/MicroTESE

The Clinical Andrology Unit is led by Dr. Giovanni M. Colpi, Scientific Director and Andrologist, and is dedicated to the management of the male partner in infertile couples.

Oocyte Cryopreservation

Fertility preservation, also known as oocyte cryopreservation or social freezing, is an option for postponing motherhood. It involves vitrifying/freezing eggs while they are still young, so they can be used at a later stage.

Semen Cryopreservation

Sperm cells are stored in liquid nitrogen at temperatures below −196°C. Under these conditions, sperm cells preserve their viability and functionality over time.
