Dr. Marina Bellavia

Dr. Marina Bellavia studied at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at La Sapienza University of Rome, graduating in 2002 with a score of 110/110 cum laude. She began her postgraduate training at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Policlinico Umberto I in Rome, particularly in the Endometriosis and Chronic Pain Center where she wrote her thesis on “Psychoimmunology of Endometriosis”. In 2005, she joined the Reproductive Medicine team of CHUV in Lausanne as an assistant and then as Head of Clinic. In 2007, she obtained her specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Bari with a score of 70/70 cum laude. In 2011, she obtained a specialization in Gynecological Endocrinology and Reproductive Medicine at the University of Lausanne.

Since 2013, Dr. Bellavia has been working at the Procrea Clinic in Lugano, and on April 1, 2021, she was appointed as the Medical Director.

Dr. Bellavia is a member of the Committee of the Swiss Society for Reproductive Medicine (SGRM) and FIVNAT. Her main areas of interest are assisted reproduction, with a particular focus on endometriosis, infertility surgery, male infertility, gynecological endocrinology, and menopause. Dr. Bellavia is also active in research at Next Fertility Procrea, collaborating on various research projects in the field of medically assisted procreation.
