Degree in Biological Sciences in 1996 from the Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences at the University of Florence. Qualified as a Biologist in 1997.
In 2009 he obtained the certificate of competence as Quality Management Systems Assessor after passing the TÃœV-SÃœD qualified KHC course examination.
In 2010 she obtained a 2nd level Master’s degree in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Padua and passed the exam for Regional Certifiers of PMA for the Region of Tuscany and was registered on the list of expert assessors in the health sector
In 2015 she obtains the ESHRE certification for basic seminal analysis
In 2019 she obtains a second level Master’s degree in Andrology, Sexuality and Reproductive Medicine – University of Florence
From 1994 to the end of 1996 she attended the PMA laboratory of the Florence Centre for Ambulatory Surgery and Infertility, learning the principles of PMA laboratory techniques
In 1996 she acquired and perfected PMA techniques with an internship at the Medical Center of Stanford University, Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Palo Alto, California. Internship coordinated by Prof. Barry Behr.
From 1997 to 1998 she worked as embryologist at PMA Demetra and at the Italian Fertility and Sexuality Centre in Florence.
From 1998 to 2001 she took on the role of Deputy Head of Biological Controls within the TPM Department of the Florence production site of Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH.
From 2001 to 2012 she took on the role of Laboratory Manager at PMA Demetra and at the Italian Fertility and Sexuality Centre in Florence
In 2012 she joined the ProCrea Nextclinics team where today, in addition to her activities as embryologist, she holds the position of Quality Manager for the management of the ISO 15189:2012 accreditation obtained in October 2020.
Since 2016 she has been in charge of the PMA Laboratory at Casa di Cura Le Betulle in Appiano Gentile, Como (IT) where ProCrea Nextclinics performs female heterologous fertilisation treatments
She is currently trained in all the techniques offered by PMA centres, including pre-implantation genetic diagnosis techniques on oocytes, embryos and blastocysts, in vitro oocyte maturation, and the treatment of serodiscordant couples.
Over the years, it has carried out more than 5000 PMA treatments
From 2010 to 2012 she was an observer for the Region of Tuscany for the programme of joint inspections of PMA centres carried out by the National Transplant Centre and the Region.
